Battle and District Riding Club

TRAINING

Fun and useful!
All training sessions are relaxed affairs geared to the needs of the horse and rider partnership. Because they are low key it is extremely unlikely to attract an audience! So don’t hold back. If you do want to join in but can’t do the date get in touch and we’ll be happy to make alternative arrangements. Don’t forget that you need to wear hard hats (for everything) and body protectors for cross country (whatever the level.) See the website for guidance on this. Don’t forget if you want us to arrange a particular trainer to do clinics – CAN DO!

IMPORTANT NOTICE Back protectors should be worn at all times for X country riding and are recommended for show jumping. Hats must be manufactured to specification EN1384, PASO15, or prefixed with ASTM or SEI as the minimum standard allowed. BSEN14572 is the next standard to be introduced, which is intended to run alongside EN 1834.( Greater protection is considered to be offered by prefixes PAS & ASTM.)
When mounted, everyone must wear a correctly adjusted and fastened hat.
